About the Role

As the Registered Nurse Funding, you will be responsible for delivering expert nursing care for customers and communities by evaluating their physical and financial needs and assisting them with relevant remedies and arrangements. You will demonstrate understanding of community funding arrangements and fee for service programs and work with reimbursement specialist to secure funding for patient’s treatments and therapies. You will facilitate high-quality nursing standards by participating in the development of policies, best practices and quality assurance programs and support less experienced and new nursing staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plans and delivers direct and comprehensive nursing care for customers with complex nursing care needs and provides recommendations to address gaps or risks for individual customers throughout the review.
  • Supports in the management of expenditure for resources, ensuring targets are met and supports Clinical Nurse Consultant to achieve optimal budget outcomes for the organisation.
  • Demonstrates understanding of community funding arrangements and fee for service programs. Works directly with the reimbursement specialist and the physician to secure funding for the patient’s therapies and assists with alternative funding searches when needed.
  • Participates in the quality improvement initiatives, conducts audits and evaluations to ensure adherence to clinical standards and guidelines, analyses patient outcomes and clinical data to identify improvement areas and drives changes.

About You

To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Healthcare, Nursing is preferred. Any other healthcare-related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
  • Minimal experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.
  • Registered Nurse Division 1 Certification is prescribed.
  • Proficient in Budget Management, Financial Analysis, Knowledge of Community Funding Programs and Program Management skills.
  • Excellent customer experience, emotional intelligence, analytical thinking, communication and cross-functional team working skills.
